Frequently Asked Questions

How long does shipping take?

Deliveries are every Tuesday to ensure we are efficient as possible in this initial business phase. Order cutoff time is 7:00pm the prior day.

What is your packaging made of?

The sea of plastic being used in grocery store bulk bin sections as well as online grocery delivery businesses during COVID inspired us to create a better alternative.

Our dry food packaging consists of 100% post-consumer recycled paper bags with a plant polymer liner.  These BPA free liners are made from either corn starch or sugar cane, and are designed to substitute widely used petroleum-based plastics.

How should I discard the packaging?

The food packaging (bags with a liner) are compostable in an commercial composting facility and we have partner with The Compost Group to handle these.  Place your used packaging outside your door during your next expected delivery. We will collect and then deliver to The Compost Group.

The large paper bags or cardboard your order is delivered in should be either recycled or composted.

How should I store the food?

We recommend storing your dry food in glass containers after you receive your order.  This maximizes the freshness of the food and looks beautiful in your pantry.

Why do you only ship within San Diego County?

If we were to ship outside of San Diego County, we would need to rely on shipping companies that require cardboard boxes and tape.  Delivering ourselves, we are able to reduce the amount of packaging in our orders. However, some orders are shipped via USPS due to transportation inefficiencies of delivering to the edges of the county.

What is your return policy?

If you're unsatisfied with your order for some reason, reach out to us and we'll work with you to get it sorted.  We want you to be 100% happy with your experience.
